WOW, Better than I expected

Posted : 16 years, 10 months ago on 19 June 2007 10:50 (A review of Stealth)

This movie has gotten a really bad rep. After seeing it for myself, I can say that this was a really cool action/fighter pilot movie. First off, the jets in this movie were amazing, with the equally amazing visual effects to back it up. Second, the fact that the AI controlled plain has character development is just something that is cool. If you like action movies, dont listen to anyone, just see it and judge for yourself.

Good Comic Based Movie

Posted : 16 years, 10 months ago on 19 June 2007 10:44 (A review of Ghost Rider)

First off, you really can't go too wrong with a movie based on a superhero, and this one is no exception. Not only did I enjoy the movie, but the story behind ghost rider was something I never really knew. I will have to read up on it an find out how close the movie was, hopefully it was dead on. The visual effects were pretty cool, and Nicolas Cage play a really get character. All in all, the movie was really nice. If you like superhero/comic based movies, see it for yourself.

What an awesome way to spend your time!

Posted : 16 years, 10 months ago on 12 June 2007 11:16 (A review of Crackdown)

At first I thought this was another one of those "thug" games where you had to make you way up the ladder by gaining "street cred" or soemthing ridiculous like that. But, after some research I found that this game is really awesome. The whole fact that you have to take down the gangs "by any means neccesary" is just sweet. Who doesn't want to jump 30ft in the air, taking downing a gang memeber mid-jump, then running over a truck load of them, all for experience. This game is one of the best I have seen in a while.

Oh yeah, who doesnt want to try halo 3?

Not Bad at all

Posted : 16 years, 10 months ago on 12 June 2007 11:06 (A review of Steamboy)

You know, I rented it because I just thought it was something I had to see. I am pretty sure there is some deep meaning and undertone to the whole thing, but I never really catch those, and if I do I dont really care. It was a pretty awesome movie, but it was more oriented towards a younger audience, so it had a few things that just bored me. Some of the effects looked like a combination between animation and CGI, or the whole movie was done in CGI (Which would mean it was very good CGI). And the effects themselves where amamzing, with lots of action, backstabing, family quarrels, and explosions. The only issue I really had is that some of the machines where not all that amazing. Yeah, this was set in the late 1800s and it was steam powered, but you can come up with something better that what was there. Anyway, It was a pretty good one, and I really dont even watch anime. Good animation, good story, and awesome action seens. See it, you might enjoy it.

Good, but a slight Disappointment

Posted : 16 years, 10 months ago on 26 May 2007 09:40 (A review of Pan's Labyrinth)

Ok, so I have been waiting to see this movie for a long time, and I have built up quite an excitment for it. As with any high expectations, I was slight disappointed in the way the movie was presented. The previews I saw gave the movie a fantastic feel when in reality the movie focused more on the story of the gril in real life rather than her fantasy world. But in the end it was maid up for by the fact that so many people died. Lost of action, a little bit of fantasy, and some pretty good music. See it, but don't expect another LOTR or Neverending story.

Classic Bond Flick

Posted : 16 years, 11 months ago on 25 May 2007 01:32 (A review of For Your Eyes Only)

I just re-watched this one, and man did I forget a lot. But afterwards, it was a pretty classic bond flick. Plot twists, exciting chase scenes, and edge-of-your-seat action. The only thing missing was some really cool gadgets, there wasn't very many at all. But, all in all, this was another 007 action-packed thriller. Watch it, no matter if you have seen it or not.

I LIKE IT

Posted : 16 years, 11 months ago on 23 May 2007 10:45 (A review of Clue)

For a relativily older movie, this was pretty good. The fact that they took a board game and turned it into a movie is pretty cool. With actors I can remember from my childhood, this hit home pretty hard as well. I really like how they put a story behind the whole ordeal made it all that much better. I couldn't believe how many people you could suspect of doing it in the end, it surprised me. Even if you don't enjoy the board game or heard this movie sucks, see it for yourself, you might be surprised how hooked you will get.

Not Bad......

Posted : 16 years, 11 months ago on 19 May 2007 10:23 (A review of Sleepy Hollow)

Well, I caught this one on TNT and decided to watch it because I never had before and I find movies like this interest me. It was a neat twist on your usual sleep hollow story, which is always a good way to make the movie better. It followed the 'Headless horseman' line, but it was portrayed as a demon controlled by a towns member. Without ruining too much more, all I can say it that it is a must see. I say that a lot, but this own peaked my interest, at least for an afternoon.

Better than I thought

Posted : 16 years, 11 months ago on 19 May 2007 02:58 (A review of Rocky Balboa)

You know, going into this movie, I really never wanted to watch it. I didnt really have an interest in this one, but I thought it might be a good thing to experience at least once. Surprisingly, it kept the whole 'Rocky' feel. A backtown rocky comes out of retirement, as brainless as ever, to fight the heavyweight champian. This movie was a pretty good one, so if you liked the other rocky movies then rent it.

Good Movie

Posted : 16 years, 11 months ago on 19 May 2007 02:25 (A review of Happily N'Ever After)

This movie was supprisingly really good. It was definatilly a different take on the fairy tale world, kind of in the sense of shrek. Goofy characters, evil bad guys, and a surprising ending. It seemed a little shorter than I expected, but that happens every now and then. I liked the movie, and I would recommend it as something to see.
